For those of you who do not know a yeast infection is a common infection caused by a fungus-like bacteria called candida.

Women are more likely to get yeast infections, especially during pregnancy, but men also do get this infection too.

Yeast infections thrive in warm and moist places on the body such as the vagina, armpits and the mouth.

Yeast infections are caused for several reasons. Stress, reaction to antibiotics, allergies, pregnancy and some illnesses can all cause candida to grow and thus create yeast infection.

Candida is actually naturally present in the body at all times and our bodies have "good bacterias" that keep the candida in check. Millions of people however suffer yeast infections when the candida is stimulated and over-growth occurs in certain areas of the body. Many women find that yeast infections are more common just before a period because of the hormonal changes that come with the menstrual cycle.

Yeast infections can be naturally cured at home using simple remedies as below without the need for visits to your doctor for medication every time.

Some tips to ...
... help get rid of yeast infection:

1. Stop eating or drinking anything that has sugar. Yeast feeds off sugar and as long as you keep digesting large quantities of sugar....the yeast infection will thrive. By reducing the amount of sugar you east or drink you can significantly reduce the yeast infection.

2. To help ease the soreness insert a large fresh clove of garlic up there. Leave it for a few hours or preferably overnight while you sleep. This helps reduce the pain quite effectively.

3. Buy some good salt Salt, preferably 100% Natural Himalyan Crystal Salt. Dissolve about a teaspoon in a mug of hot water, as hot as you can bear and use it as a douche. Dry the outside area thoroughly and continue to use this solution to wash the area regularly especially after intercourse to keep the affection under control.

4. Aloe Vera is also a good natural remedy to help keep yeast infection under control, use it often by applying to the areas where you get yeast infection the most.

All these products can be found at health shops and are some of the natural ways to cure yeast infections without using prescribed creams and lotions from your doctor.
