Hatleystore.com can be described as family-run company. They have been helping people draw near to nature with their cotton pajamas and casual wear for over 20 years.
Hatleystore’s clothing is both colorful and fun. They keep their fashions fashionable by utilizing clever play on words and popular culture in combination with exciting and original designs inspired by nature and flora and fauna.
“For your bearly sleeping mum, slowpoke infant who is trailing slightly behind or the energetic child searching for some puddle stomping fun, Hatley’s pj's, casual wear and waterproof clothing make an excellent present for holiday seasons, events or just for fun…or maybe pun.”
The business was started over 2 decades ago. All it required was a sense of humor, a proficient artist and the Little Blue House gift shop in the lakeside village of North Hatley, Canada.
The gifted painter, Alice, had just finished a set of farmyard animal paintings and desired to find a place to display her art. This lead to the opening of the gallery above her gift shop, the Little Blue House. Her husband John was ...
... stimulated by her work and he designed a variety of aprons displaying Alice’s paintings. The thought paid off and the aprons proved to be extremely popular and sold really well.
Alice and John’s cottage trade quickly grew and evolved into the business Hatley. Their speciality was supplying the very best cow and pig aprons ever seen. These cows and pigs soon became moose and bears as well. In a similar way, the business of aprons grew steadily and shortly included gifts and clothing.
When the company grew and flourished, John and Alice found themselves longing for a simpler life. Aided by the prospect of retirement looming, they decided to leave the business of running Hatley in the accomplished hands of their three sons Chris, Nick and Jeremy. Being the eldest of the 3, Chris took over as President. Nick became the designer as he was the only one effective at drawing and in a bid to boss somebody around, Jeremy took over production.
Each bringing their very own ideas and inspiration to the business, Hatley almost immediately grew and progressed further. They designed and added an extensive children’s range, designed comfy women’s sleepwear and extended their gift market with the addition of napkins, kitchen textiles, mugs along with a whole lot more.
Hatley has grown into an international concern with their designs being sold all around the world. Chris, Nick and Jeremy still honor the principles of their parents and remain dedicated to family, great designs, quality as well as a good sense of humor.
Visit Hatleystore.com and see these great and fun designs for yourself.
