Over the past few years has been published several studies on organic and conventional milk. In the study found that there was a higher content of vitamin A and E in organic milk than in conventional. In the study found no differences in the beta-carotene, vitamin A, vitamin E or selenium. The researchers believe that the reason for this is based on both organic and conventional farms largely on grass and clover-feed. However, uses the conventional farms, while organic farms are using grass.

Small differences in the major nutrients

Many studies in countries other than the Scandinavian countries have found higher levels of alpha-linolenic acid (precursor to the omega-3-fatty acid), CLA, vitamin E, beta carotene and a higher ratio of polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats in organic milk compared to conventional. We found no differences in content of calcium, vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B12 or zinc. Milk is a much more important source of calcium, B2 and B12 than to the alpha-linolenic acid, vitamin E and beta carotene; therefore, these differences are small influence on our health.

Although ...
... organic milk contains more of special omega-3 fatty acids than regular milk, it is unknown whether it is converted to the longer omega-3 fatty acids, which, among other things, found in fish. And what are the long-chain omega-3 fatty acids that are shown to have health effects in relation to cardiovascular disease.

Cows have summer vacation outdoors:

Cows standing in the stall have imposed "outdoor summer" with grazing at least 8 weeks of the year. Cows in organic farming are entitled to access to pasture throughout the grazing season and should be aired as long as weather permits. According to the rules may thus be a difference in how much the cows are out in the summer. In practice, this difference is much less, if any, because the farmers engaged in conventional let cows graze there as long as possible. For example, common for cows in the eastern area of pasture is from May to October. This is probably not the difference in length of cows grazing out great regardless of mode of production.

Cows eat grass and clover:

In the same way as the cows, eat most grass, clover and forage. We can therefore expect little difference between organic milk and conventional milk in terms of nutritional content, and that any differences either due to different operating conditions, location, etc., than the production method.

Organic food is locally:

If there is a difference in the nutritional content of organic and conventional foods, it will be for many other reasons to choose organic, such as concern for the environment and the food is locally produced.
