A national-level faculty training programme, Faculty Leadership Institute, will conclude on July 10.
The objective of the programme being organized by the Indo-US Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE) is to improve quality and global relevance of engineering education in India and the United States.
Asarja Desai, President, Chairman of Pan NRC Mastek, said the Institute for School Leadership will help create a better education system and India as a country will be recognized for their intellectual capacity and competitiveness. It will allow students to be trained and ready in the industry. This will enable young people to meet the challenges posed by changing global economy.
The goal is to reach more than 60,000 engineering faculty in 2013, having an impact on the general student population. Teachers in the United States, including Richard M. Felder, Hoechst Celanese Professor Emeritus of Chemical Engineering, North Carolina State University and Rebecca Brent, president of Education Designs, Inc., a consulting firm in Cary, North Carolina, share their knowledge through the course content.Over 600 ...
