"Several people prefer being a vegetarian these days and I'm constantly curious about why. People approach vegetarianism for different reasons. Either they believe in saving animals or just taking care of the environment, it all varies. Others are doing it because everyone else seems to be doing it. There is a similarity between values and how a person physically treats their bodies in these instances. There are certain things that should be good for you when you start a vegetarian diet.
If your body needs to have nutrients that are imperative to your health, you may want to look into what types of food you need to take and whether or not a vegetarian diet is even a good idea. But that applies to anything you eat, not just vegetarian foods. A vegetarian diet should be started if a person understands his or her body and knows that they can handle the menu.

This earth would change for the better if more people participated in a vegetarian diet. If it's a choice between either raising your own animals for consumption or vegetables, then vegetables win conservation hands down. It also helps to keep the food supply more balanced, as resources go to people and not animals. Are there moral implications of this approach to eating? If you ask any vegan, you'll see that being healthy is only one of the various reasons they have chosen their lifestyle. As more people embark on their vegetarian journey, I hope they understand they are helping much more than just their health!"
