Ferrari has recently unveiled some of the details of its upcoming 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia Spider three weeks ahead of its debut in the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show.

This unveiling leaked some of the most important specs and features of the much-awaited 458 Italia Spider. Among the significant features of this car that was revealed was its aluminum hard-top roof. This recent information has actually amazed some of the performance car finders since most of them are expecting that the roof of the 458 Italia would be made of cloth.

Ferrari has also announced that the aluminum hard-top was actually made to reduce the weight of the car’s roof since the previous fabric roof used on the 458 Italia’s predecessor which is the F430 Spider is 55 pounds heavier than the current hard-top.

The combination of the 4.5-liter V8 engine and the transmission attached to it would produce a maximum power output of about 562 horsepower at 9000 rpm and provide a maximum torque of 398 lb.-ft. at 6000 rpm which could be considered quite natural for a high-performance vehicle such as this.

With this impressive performance, Ferrari is quite optimistic that most new car finders who want to own a performance car of their own would surely take some of available auto loans just to buy this since having a 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia Spider would provide them the opportunities to have a powerful mid-rear-engine supercar.
