Four Important Methods Of Tattoo Removal

Discarding a tattoo design from any of your body parts is a very tedious job than inking it for the first time. Tattoo removal is in fact very challenging as it takes a lot of concentration and precision to do the job. If you want to get favourable results then pick up any of the multiple treatments to erase your unwanted tattoo. The entire process of tattoo erasing is slow for the safety of your skin. There are several procedures of removing tattoo from a body. They include Excision, Laser, Salabrasion and Dermabrasion. All of these methods have been medically proven to be successful and have eventually offered fruitful results to the users as well. Here below are the procedures of removal discussed.
Excision: This is one of the most popular ways of tattoo removal that is effective only when the inked area is small. The benefit of this procedure is you can erase the entire design within a short frame of time. Whereas, the larger ones can be removed in small stages. This method involves an injection of a local anaesthetic to numb the designed area and thereby removing the tattoo surgically. After the surgery, the edges ...
... are brought together and stitched. This entire procedure calls for a minimal bleeding that can be again managed with electrocautery. Sometimes it is seen that a skin graft is required from another body part to cover the affected area where the tattoo designs were made.
Laser: Most physicians consider this surgery to be another best procedure of tattoo removal. The most frequently used lasers of today are the Q-switched Alexandrite, the Q-switched Ruby, and the Q-switched Nd: Yag. All of these three lasers are employed in the same manner as mentioned above. If required apply cream on the area to numb before the treatment starts. The pulses of laser lights are straight directed onto the pigment for the tattoo breaking up. Soon after the application, within the next weeks, the scavenger cells of your body will discard the treated pigment places.
Salabrasion: This is an age old procedure of removing tattoo that is still been in use today. Like the other methods, this method too includes local anaesthetic application on and around the tattoo areas. Soon after this a solution of ordinary tap water and table salt is applied there. An abrading instrument is later used to quickly abrade the specific area. As soon as the area turns red after all the applications, a quick dressing is done.
Dermabrasion: In this method, a small portion of the inked area is sprayed with a solution thereby freezing the area. Then the tattooed area is 'sanded' with a revolving abrasive device making the skin to peel. A dressing is done immediately as there are there is a tendency to bleed.
Whatever tattoo removal methods you use, some kind of colour variations and scarring are expected to remain. The healing time would vary depending on the depth and size of the tattoo design. Make sure you have a clear and concrete discussion with your physician about the various methods and then decide on the removal.
