Fedor Emelianenko

Dan Henderson Fedor Emelianenko defeated by KO in the first round of their Strikeforce & M-1 Global: Fedor vs Henderson main event Saturday night in suburban Chicago.
The pride of the former 185-pound, 205-pound champion took out the heavyweight champion of the old pride of strikes and scored the technical knockout.
Fedor Henderson and began disposing of an intent to injure another. A left hand by Henderson connected and opened a cut on Fedor's face and the two fell into a clinch on the fence. A little later, the two separated and Fedor and lit the fire power, pressure on young hunters.
Henderson went down the wave and Fedor followed to complete it, but Henderson slipped away from evil and came back Fedor. It was then that Henderson struck the heavy Russian with an uppercut from behind.
"The Last Emperor" fell head first onto the canvas and appeared insensitive. At that time, Henderson landed more than three strikes and referee Herb Dean stepped in to stop the fight at 4:12 of round one.
An ecstatic Henderson ran around the cage and sat on top of the fence, raising his hands in victory ...
... to the cheering fans Illinois.
"I was always a big fan of Fedor," Henderson said after the first knockout round. "I respect him so much as a fighter (for) what he did for the sport. For me it's a huge accomplishment.
"As a fan of Fedor, I hope he continues to struggle."
The victory was also the last fight on the contract of Dan Henderson Strikeforce. Now, the Strikeforce light heavyweight champion would defend the belt he won, but knows that his future lies in the hands of people who sign the checks.
"I want to defend my belt in Strikeforce," he said. "But it just Strikeforce, and now Zuffa, the new owners. We'll see what happens, but I'll just enjoy this win for a while. "
Following the loss, it could be argued that the decision was premature because a split second before the fight was called, turned Emelianenko to fight against his back. The fighter defeated shared this opinion.
"I think it was at the beginning," said Emelianenko about stopping. "I do not want to speak ill of the referee, but it seems he was in the beginning."
Following his previous loss to Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva, Fedor had mentioned retirement. With another loss under his belt, he was asked if retirement was something he would consider now.
The heavyweight said he is not his, as he says, "it is the will of God."
Henderson received his third straight victory and wait for contract negotiations to determine what his next move is. Fedor, who was once considered the world's best mixed martial artist, drops his third straight fight and the world awaits a decision on whether he will ever fight again.
