Home Remedies For Nausea Right From Your Kitchen

Nausea is the feeling when one feels uncomfortable or dizzy and has the urge to vomit, but may not actually vomit. Other symptoms that accompany nausea are headache, fatigue and sweating. One experiences tiredness or nervousness, and sometimes even quick breathing. The mouth can sometimes become dry or parched due to dehydration. The reasons could be food poisoning, overeating, drinking alcohol, or could simply result from excessive medication or excessive intake of painkillers. It could also be a side effect of anesthesia. For most people, traveling in overcrowded trains or buses can also leave them dizzy.
Morning sickness, a form of nausea, is also a common symptom during pregnancy. Apart from that, some body types are intolerant to lactose or wheat, and thus intake of any such food too causes nausea or giddiness.
When suffering from nausea, one need not immediately run to a clinic, as it can be treated at home. Some home remedies for nausea are easy and cost almost nothing.
Ginger is an amazing herb that can be used in quite a few home remedies for nausea. It can be added to tea and sipped slowly to get ...

One portion of rice can be boiled in two portions of water, and the water can be strained after boiling the rice for 15 minutes over a slow flame. Drinking this water rids one of the awful feeling to vomit. However, if one does feel like vomiting badly, then he must go ahead and vomit out forcefully and get rid of the constant uneasiness of wanting to vomit.
Acupressure too works wonderfully to control nausea by working on the required body points. The thumb and the finger can be joined to exert pressure on the particular points, and this relieves one from nausea.
Lemon can be sliced into two halves and salt and pepper can be sprinkled over it. This can then be sucked fresh, or cooked in a fry pan for a while and then sucked. This improves digestion and rids one of the uneasiness.
Mint and lemon can be boiled in water too for one of the home remedies for nausea. Honey can then be added to the mixture, when the water cools down a little, and the water can then be sipped. This can be prepared and consumed 2-3 times a day for relief from nausea.
Cumin seeds powder can be mixed in water and few spoonfuls can be consumed during the day to get rid of nausea and vomiting.
Mint tablets can be chewed, or peppermint tea can be prepared, as it is sure to ease the uneasiness in the stomach resulting in nausea.
The best of all home remedies for nausea for small babies would be to add a little honey to ginger powder and give to them, since they would not like the smell and taste of fresh ginger. Babies should constantly be kept hydrated, as vomiting dehydrates them. Infants can also be given lemon water to rid them of dizziness.
During pregnancy, it is best to count on home remedies for nausea, as medicines bought at the counter could have side effects, unless bought at the medical practitioner's advice.
