Waste disposal is a serious problem the world is facing and unless the process of recycling many of the products or waste is brought into practice, there would be a big problem. The environment would get polluted in addition to the other problem of finding space to dump such waste. Already there are fears being expressed that the landfills are getting full to capacity and there is urgent need to find other places to dump waste.

Many companies are recognizing the need to conserve naturally occurring metals like gold, copper, silver and bauxite and are doing their best to take back stuff like mobile phones, computers, so that they can effectively recycle them through modern processes instead of just dumping them as electronic toxic waste.

The advantages of recycling extend to the energy factor as well. There is lesser energy consumed recycling stuff than making them from scratch. It can help countries make better use of their resources and improve their economy. The processes involved in recycling add more jobs and many people can feel proud that they are contributing to the environment.
