About 40 Percent Doctors Have Less Than 3,000 Yuan Disposable Income Every Month

The disposable income of doctors every month varies from person to person. The least is less than 1,500 yuan. The recent published book — The Development Statement of Chinese Doctors, offered for sale in Wuhan yesterday. It revealed that there were differences in income among doctors.

This book was published by Peking University Press. Doctors who have disposable income ranging from 3,000 yuan to 4,999 yuan occupy 40.9%, ranging from 5,000 to 9,999 yuan occupy 16.1% and more than 10,000 yuan occupy 2.3%. Greater differences in income exist in different subjects: doctors of agriculture are “the poorest” and doctors of economics are “the richest”. Doctors of agriculture who have less than 3,000 yuan disposable income every month occupy 54.3%, while the highest proportion of disposable income every month mainly focus on doctors of economics.

As for the quality of doctor fostering, 11.6% individuals think it cannot meet social demands. Academic atmosphere, tutors’ instructing and study level are considered as three main factors affecting the quality of doctor fostering. Social environment, family situation and economic conditions are three main factors affecting the development of doctors’ career.
