Production Of The Iconic Bugatti Veyron Ends
The history of the automotive industry was marked by a lot of ups and downs. All throughout its history, a lot of car models and vehicle types were able to leave their own marks on this and it continues to live on. Car finders, manufacturers, and owners stood as living witnesses to some of the events that transpired along the way. Good examples of these are the rise and fall of remarkable vehicles as well as the most promising auto financing deals that were offered. As of the present, the latest addition to the automotive industry’s colorful history was created by the French Car maker responsible for the production of the powerful and legendary Veyron.
Bugatti has started producing the Veyron in 2005. The Veyron was released in the market in that year as a high-performance vehicle powered by a quad-turbocharged 16.4 cylinder engine with a maximum power output of about 1,001 horsepower. Bugatti has planned to produce 300units of this model but the vehicle’s sales on its first year remained low.
By the end of 2005, there ...
... are only 5 units of the Veyron that were sold. This is rate could be considered to be very low given that the target is 300 units. However, most car experts considers this as inspiring since the Veyron’s price is located within the seven digit range making the purchase of this vehicle exclusive to new car finders with relatively large sums of money to spend.
By the end of 2007, the number of Veyron sold tremendously increased bringing the count to 81 units. It also took almost two years for Bugatti to sell 291 units of the Veyron. Within the first six months of this year, Bugatti was able to sell the remaining 9 units which completed its target of 300 units. The last unit would be delivered to an unknown European buyer this fall and this will also mark the end of the production of the 16.4 Veyron and its Supersport version with a maximum power output of 1,200 horsepower.
Despite Bugatti’s announcement of the end of production of the Veyron, it is still uncertain if the company would continue to produce and sell this model to qualified buyers. The only thing that is very much certain right now is that the Veyron has earned its own place in the history of the automotive industry.
