With adjustments for manuscript style, content, and intent, our coaches will help you maximize the effectiveness of the manuscript and includes such elements as:
Diagnosing and suggesting corrections for problems inherent in manuscript, including:
Imbalanced narrative
Underwritten matter
Chronic style or technical writing issues that detract from manuscript’s overall effectiveness
Tracking the continuity of the narrative, including story, setting, and character traits, and querying discrepancies
Making recommendations to correct structural and organizational imbalances across the narrative
Responding to specific requests from publisher or author to suggest macro-level reshaping including cutting excess text

They will also provide written review of your entire manuscript focusing on strengths, weaknesses and concrete fixes. Likewise they will go through several pages of your manuscript ‘fixing’ sentences, as well as explaining why these changes improve the manuscript. These edits don’t specifically address grammar but rather teaches craft skills so you can produce a polished piece of prose.
