Gold filled beads have achieved a great success in the jewelry industry. These beads are probably the best products of the gold filled jewelry. They are used in a great number of ornaments to give them a highly traditional and beautiful appearance. Mostly used as spacers, the jewelry made from these gold-filled beads is very popular among youngsters. These beads offer a wide variety of styles and designs to choose from.

Easy maintenance of these beads makes them apt for daily use. The gold filled beads are made of no less than 10 karats of gold. Thus, it makes a thick layer of gold, which increases the life of the beads despite regular use.

As these beads are mostly used by fashion jewelry designers, these are often sold by wholesale dealers. This is indeed a much more beneficial option to buy beads from a wholesale seller than to buy them from a jewelry store. The wholesale gold filled beads are very cheap as compared to the ones bought from local jeweler. However, there are a few points ...
... that one must be aware of before buying wholesale beads.

Many wholesale dealers sell gold plated beads instead of gold filled ones. Gold plated beads can be made to look the same at a much cheaper cost. Thus, the profit of the seller increases with every sale. It is a bit difficult to spot the difference between the two types of beads. One has to be attentive enough to look for some indications.

Gold plated beads mostly use silver, brass or copper as their base metals. The metals are coated with gold, which gives the same shine and color as that of gold filled beads. However, at first, you must check for the signs of chipping. Gold plated beads would easily chip while gold filled beads would never peel off even after prolonged usage. Second clue to notice is that a person who has a sensitive skin might develop allergic reactions by wearing gold plated jewelry. This would again prove that the beads being sold are not filled with gold but are instead coated. Thirdly, authentic gold filled beads would always display a stamp indicating the weight and the amount of gold used in the product. Two of the most commonly found stamps would say 10/20 and 14/20 that represent 10K and 14k gold filled beads respectively. Keeping the above points in mind would save a person from getting cheated while buying wholesale beads.

Gold filled beads besides attracting people also make them wonder whether one is wearing jewelry made entirely from gold or from gold filled beads.
