Pennsylvania Rvers, Check Out These Pet Friendly Campsites And Travel Tips!

If you are a Pennsylvania RV owner, then chances are high that your furry four-legged friends will be traveling with you this summer. And why not? They are such great companions to have on the road. And even though they can't tell us, they enjoy traveling with us as much as we do. How can they not be comfortable in a Jayco RV, one of the best RVs available in Pennsylvania.
So Pennsylvania RVers, where are some great campground that are pet friendly? Well, actually, there is quite a long list! Since we're from around the Lancaster, Jayco, and York areas we're going to stick to pet friendly places around there. However, for a list of pet friendly places check out the website DogFriendly. It is such a great resource for pet friendly shops, campgrounds, motels, hotels, dog parks, attractions, restaurants and importantly vets. Other than the outdoor comforts of campgrounds, restaurants, and attractions, your pet is also most comfortable in a Pennsylvania RV bought from one of your local stores at York, Lancaster, or Jayco.
Here are the pet-friendly campgrounds in Dutch ...
... County:
Sun Valley Campground -451 Maple Grove Road Bowmansville
Hickory Run Camping Resort -285 Greenville Road Denver
Pinch Pond Family Campground -2649 Camp Road Manheim
Spring Gulch -475 Lynch Road New Holland
Jellystone Park -340 Blackburn Road Quarryville
If your pet is new traveling you may want to go for a test run before you actually hit the road because, believe it or not, some pet really do get motion sickness. And you don't want to be surprised when your dog or cat gets on your trip. So take you pet on a few long distance drives in the car to see how they do.
Next you'll want to make your Jayco RV pet friendly. If you don't want your dog or cat to roam free around the RV then you should bring a crate for them to stay in. A crate needs to large enough for you dog to stand up in, turn around in and lie down in. It also must be well ventilated. It is also good to bring some toys from home along with you. And of course, don't forget their food. Make sure your dog or cat is wearing their collar at all time too just in case.
Once you arrive at the campground check out the pet rules and follow them. We love bringing our pets when we take the RV out and if we go somewhere we can't take bring them with us, we leave them at the local kennel to ensure they are well taken care of. Your campground host will most likely have this information too.
What are some pet travel tips you have? We'd love to hear from you. RV friends, your local Pennsylvania RV, Lancaster RV and York RV dealer, Gayle Kline RV has everything you need anything, just stop on by!
