How To Get To Heaven And Avoid Hell-part I

I hope that you and your family enjoyed Easter Sunday. My wife and I enjoyed the weather and a delightful Easter Sunday brunch.
With the thought of Easter in mind (i.e., the day we celebrate our risen Savior: Jesus Christ), I want to discuss some of the pivotal truths that Christ taught us about the reason for His death and resurrection. The most important truth Christ taught us about His death and resurrection is that by His one-time sacrifice on the cross (Heb 9:25-28), Christ provided a way for those who believe in Him to go to heaven and avoid hell.
We talked about heaven and hell. We noted that when we die our bodies return to the dust (i.e., our bodies are buried in our graves: Gen 3:19). Our spirits return to God. (Eccl 12:7).
So, God will receive in heaven – a place of eternal joy – the spirits of those who accepted Christ as their Savior before they died. At the appointed time (i.e., at the first resurrection), God will resurrect their bodies from their graves and give them new bodies fashioned like unto Christ’s glorious body. (Phil 3:21). And they’ll dwell with the Lord in peace ...
... and bliss forevermore.
The spirits of those who refused to accept Christ before they died will be sent to Hades. That is, God will consign their spirits to Hades which is a temporary place of torment for the lost spirits of men. At the appointed time (i.e., at the second resurrection), God will resurrect their bodies from their graves.
They’ll be resurrected with the same, vile, disease ridden bodies they had when they died. God never promised them new bodies (i.e., they won’t inherit any part of God’s kingdom). (Eph 5:5, 1 Cor 6:9-10). But, thank God for Easter Sunday (the day we celebrate Christ’s resurrection). For by Christ’s death and resurrection all men can be translated into the safest place in the universe – God’s kingdom. (Heb 9:26-28). No one has to be consigned to Hades. (2 Peter 3:9).
So, we thank God for Christ’s resurrection that we celebrate on Easter Sundays. Because of Christ’s resurrection, those who’re not saved can be translated into God’s kingdom by the Prayer of Salvation. You must be translated into God’s kingdom before you die. Why? After death you don’t get a second chance. In Hades, it’ll be too late to call on Christ. So, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:2).
Say the following prayer aloud now. Lord, “I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for my sins. He arose from the grave and is my risen Savior. Please forgive me of my sins.” Say this prayer aloud now and you’ll be translated now into the safest place in the universe – God’s kingdom. (Rom 10:9-10). This is the reason for the season – i.e., this is why we celebrate Easter Sunday.
