One of the most effective ways to promote new car models for the buying public to see and realize that they exist is through commercials. Given this, car makers spend millions of dollars just to formulate ads that would convey catchy messages that new car finders would remember and at the same time increasing the chances of earning potential customers from the growing population of car finders who are in search for vehicles that they would purchase.

Due to this, Chrysler came up with an idea of creating an ad that features the 2012 Chrysler 300S driven Dr. Dre, a popular West Coast rapper and entrepreneur. This could be a good strategy since Dr. Dre is popular in the US and this might provide sales boost for the Chrysler 300S.

This ad is actually the second Chrysler hip hop-inspired commercial. The first one was the phenomenal Super Bowl XLV ad that features famous rapper Eminem and the Chrysler 200 Sedan. The former ad has gained popularity due to Eminem’s appearance, the impressive features ...
... of the 200S and the powerful message conveyed by that commercial. The Chrysler 200S ad was subsequently followed by a commercial which featured John Varvatos.

The Super Bowl XLV ad and the latest commercial that features Dr. Dre were almost similar. Just like the previous, the 2012 Chrysler 300S is driven by Dr. Dre in dark streets with a powerful voice over stating that “good things come to those who work for it.” In addition to this, the 300S’ close to luxury features were highlighted most especially its sleek, classy, and attractive exterior designs as well as its revolutionary head lights.

However, there are few differences with the previous and the latest ad’s plot. The latest version presented some of the sophisticated gadgets installed on the sedan. This includes the 522-watt 12 channel amplifiers, Uconnect Touch 8.4-inch screen, and the speakers installed on the car’s instrument panel and rear doors for the upgraded version of the 300S. The ads’ locations were also different. Eminem’s ad was shot in the Detroit while Dre’s was shot in LA.

Given these, Chrysler might attract more buyers to purchase their 2012 Chrysler 300S. In order for Chrysler to boost the sales of this particular model, they must provide better auto financing deals for this since most buyers prefer to purchase vehicles with lower amounts of cash paid up-front.
