General Motors continues to upgrade some of its plants in the US to enable each of these to produce more vehicles for the company and boost its sales. These upgrades were mostly focused on the improvements of each plant’s equipments and operating systems in order to assemble more reliable vehicles efficiently that buyers of expensive and cheap new car models would want to own. Due to this goal, GM plans to invest a total of $2 billion for the upgrades of its plants in the US. As part of the plan, the company would be investing $88 billion into its Lansing Grand River assembling plat located in Michigan.

The Michigan plant is essential on GM’s overall production since this assembles three of the models that are included on the company’s new car prices list. This plant assembles the sedan, coupe, and wagon versions of the Cadillac CTS. In addition to this, the Lansing Grand River plant also produce the V-series version of these models that are considered to be more powerful and faster compared to ...
... other versions. Since these models are actually one of the most sought about Cadillac purchased by buyers either in straight cash or by using different types of auto loans, investing such amount could be a good move for General Motors.

The upgrades that would be conducted on the Michigan plant will commence together with the developments of other assembling facilities scattered on different parts of the US. The company’s overall investing of about $2 million dollar would be distributed to the SUV plant in Texas which received about $331 million, $109 million for the two plants in Michigan, and $131 million for the Kentucky plant. The Kentucky plant will be used in producing the upcoming version of one of GM’s hot vehicle which is the Corvette.

GM’s continuous effort to upgrade its assembling ad manufacturing plants could be a good strategy for the company to produce more vehicles. As long as they produce more vehicles, GM will have a greater chance of improving its sales and earn relatively higher profits. In addition to this, the company would be able to earn more customers since buyers will have more vehicle options to choose from.
