The price of gasoline in the US right now is estimated to be around $4 per gallon. Due to this, more and more car owners are starting to look for realistic tips that could help them obtain a lot of savings from fuel expenses. Most of these vehicle owners are conducting the appropriate car research that could teach them on how to save on fuel effectively.

There are also a lot of car owners who are trying to consult different car advice in hope that they could obtain the best practices that could reduce their expenses on fuel purchase down. Due to this, the Consumer Federation of America has outlined some of the proven ways for more fuel-efficient driving and this includes the following.

1. Regular air-filter maintenance

Most car owners don’t know that one of the best ways to turn their cars into fuel-efficient vehicles is by maintaining the air-filter regularly. This is considered to be a good strategy since an old air-filter that fails to function well forces the car’s engine ...
... to work hard and consume larger amount of fuel that is more than what is necessary. Due to this, car owners would probably spend more on fuel purchases. A well-maintained air-filter on the other hand allows car owners to save as much as 10% from fuel expenses.

Given this fact, vehicle owners should regularly check their cars’ air-filters, keep these clean, and replace those that require replacements. They should also make sure that their vehicles’ oil is regularly changed and the tires’ pressure is maintained appropriately.

2. Maintain the proper tire pressure of your car

Maintaining the car’s tire pressure is also a good way to keep your vehicle’s fuel-efficiency at its best. According to the CFA, 7.5 pounds of under inflation could cause the car to lose almost 2.8 percent of its fuel efficiency while proper inflation could help you earn at least 11 cents per gallon savings which is a good way to improve one’s bad credit car credit. The savings could help creditors with bad credit to cope up with their financial obligations and pay some of their loans off.
