Ford Expects Sales Boost In Japanese Market

Most car makers at present would want to gain a greater market share domestically. However, there are other car makers who want to expand and boost their sales abroad. One of this is Ford Motor Co. which is an American car maker. Ford has been operating in different territories worldwide and even on Japan which was formerly controlled by Japanese car makers such as Toyota, Honda, and Nissan. However, the Japanese car makers’ dominance was recently affected by the March 11, 2011 earthquake which destroyed the majority of the plants operated by the suppliers of the vehicle components used by these car makers. Due to this, the supply of Japanese-made cars that most car finders in Japan would want to own was affected.
Given the present situation, Ford has taken the previous events as a great opportunity to boost its sales in Japan. It was previously known that Ford was able to sell a total of 2,400 units in Japan last 2010. However, Ford hopes to boost its sales in Japanese market this year since most of the Japanese car makers operating in this area is experiencing vehicle ...
... shortage brought about by the earthquake. Almost all of these manufacturers were forced to stop its production and some of its auto financing deals due to the natural calamity which struck the area.
Ford plans to strengthen its Explorer model so as to encourage every Japanese car finder to prioritize this model over its competitors that are also foreign in origin. Aside from Ford, BMW and Mercedes Benz are also operating on the Japanese market and this could pose a greater threat on Ford’s desire to grab a greater market share in Japan.
In order to dominate the Japanese market, Ford should work hard in winning the attention of most Japanese car buyers. This is because almost all of Japanese car buyers would still prefer to buy Japanese-made cars despite all of the blunders that these car manufacturers are experiencing. Most of these buyers are willing to wait for the condition to return to normal before they buy their own cars. Given this, Ford should court Japanese car buyers to buy their vehicles.
