The use of solar energy dates back to 7th century B.C. when magnifying glasses were used to light fire. Since then the sun rays have become an integral part of human lives and the human mind has been consistently developing innovative methods to utilize solar power for homes and the benefit of mankind. At a time when alternative forms of energy is the solution to cut the carbon emission rate, all kinds of experiments are being conducted with light to create multiple usage of solar energy. Since it is the safest form of energy available and is completely hassle free one cannot think of overlooking the benefits of solar energy.

Today we are in the 21st century and through consistent developments in the sphere of solar energy, we have managed to create abundant usage of it in our day to day lives. Solar energy has grown multitudes in all these years and has made a place in the life of those who are concerned about the environment.Solar power for homes too has developed from its prehistoric usage when humans used to cook their food over stones ...
... heated by the rays of sun. Portable solar panels for houses can run the entire house without any external source of energy. Be it cooking or lighting, solar energy provides sufficient energy to run all household devices. As per solar power information, the prices of these devices have considerably shot down in the last few years which give an insight into the significance of this form of energy. It is predicted that the solar panel price will further decline as renewable energy is the need of the hour.

In the third world countries, the portability of solar energy has come as bliss. Places where there was no scope for electricity is now completely equipped with devices that run on solar energy. Scientists around the globe are continuously working on technologies to attain maximum efficiency out of solar devices. Till date, the maximum efficiency of a solar device is 20% which is far less than what can actually be obtained in the form of energy. Developments in this field may take some time but is certain as several great minds at work are determined on achieving it. People today can be completely self-reliant if they possess the power of renewable energy as he/she would not have to depend on any other external source, for their bit of energy consumption.
