One of Honda’s latest versions of the Civic is the 2012 Civic Hybrid. Just like any hybrids in the market right now, this version is powered by the conventional gas-powered engine and a powerful electric motor that also acts as a power source for the car. Although this vehicle is absolutely different from any other cheap new car models and is not suitable for bad credit car credit improvement, this car is also capable of providing the features that every car finders are looking for. 1. Reliable engine and electric motor

The alternative source of power which is the electric motor is a permanent magnet type that produces about 23 horsepower at 1546 to 3000 rpm. The electric motor is capable of producing 79 lb-ft of torque at 500-1546 rpm.

Given these dual-source of power, the 2012 Civic Hybrid is considered as one of the most reliable vehicle on the road. The gas powered engine and the electric motor take turns in propelling the vehicle.

2. Increased fuel-efficiency

Since the 2012 Civic Hybrid has two power sources, it is expected to consume lesser energy compared to other conventional cars. Given this fact, the Civic Hybrid is currently capable of achieving 44 miles per gallon rating in the highway which means higher savings on fuel.

3. The availability of the ECON button

The 2012 Civic Hybrid is now equipped with the ECON button that the driver could push so as to activate the car’s capability to be become more efficient. As soon as the ECON mode is activated, the car’s function would become more fuel-efficient.
