The Lakme fashion week saw designer Satya Paul come up with his ‘Jewel of the sea’ collection, which, as the name suggests, was inspired by the marine beauty and the vibrancy it emanates. Satya Paul sarees, lehngas, cocktail dresses, gowns and even kaftans in bright blue, black and white shades served as the crowning glory of the event. Another event at the ITC grand central Mumbai saw designer Satya Paul inaugurate his latest range of ‘Pop Art’ sarees. The sarees are touted to be inspired from the popular culture in art which started in the ‘50s.

Though Satya Paul sarees seem to be the focus of the designer but it’s interesting to note that with the expansion of his line internationally, that too as a brand for global couture, Satya Paul is designing some great western collections as well.
