Incontinence is a weakness or inability of a person to control the flow of urine. Stress incontinence and overactive bladder (OAB) are the main causes of incontinence. Stress urinary incontinence mostly occurs in women. OAB is caused when the bladder muscles contract unwillingly. Someone with difficulty in controlling urination can also suffer from bladder incontinence. Urinary incontinence occurs in male and female both, it mostly occurs in predominantly female condition. Urination is a complex activity. The bladder that lies in the bottom part of the abdomen stores urine, then releases it through urethra. The canal can release or relieve the urine outside of the body, controlling this activity include nerves, muscles, spinal cord and brain.

Urinary incontinence is a relatively common reason for children to seek medical care, but it rarely requires hospitalization. Mostly urinary incontinence in children may occur due to degenerative changes associated with their age. Loss of urinary control is called urinary incontinence or just continence. ...
... It usually disappears naturally in children’s but it can leads to adults also. A child with urinary incontinence must be evaluated within the context of his or her development. The impact on the social functioning evolves as the child progresses through development in life and is deeply influenced by social, educational, and other environmental factors.

Continence depends on functioning muscles and nerves in and around the rectum and anal canal. At lower part of the bowels, the sigmoid colon helps to slow the passage of fecal material before it moves into the rectum. The rectum is more elastic than the rest of bowel so it can stretch to store fecal material. Normal Bowel function is defined as the regular route. Proper bowel function involves eliminating toxins from the body. This body function is controlled by rectal sensation, rectal storage capacity, anal sphincter pressure, and bowel habits. Incontinence causes include anxiety, genetics, structure problems, infections, previous pregnancies, a heart problem; person can experience difficulty in walking or moving, overweight, and pain or depression. These are most common causes of incontinence.

Symptoms include weal flow, pressure, night time voiding, and urinary tract infections. Because the prostate encircles the urethra, it can block the normal flow causing the stream to weaken and trickle. Incontinence is not a disease. Incontinence is frequently in women compared to men because they face a lot of stress in their daily routine, stress is one of the major symptoms for incontinence. The most common symptoms of incontinence are urinating often, urine leaks when coughing, sneezing, a weak stream with no force and involves other stresses. There are many other symptoms that can lead to prostate cancer in early stages include having difficulty starting urination or maintaining a balance flow of urine, feeling burning sensation or pain when urinating, having difficulty in formation. However, person having one or more symptoms doesn’t necessarily indicate prostate cancer. These symptoms can also be caused due to other painful diseases.
