How Various Organizations Make Provisions For Lawn Care Costs
It has come to be expected, in recent days, that every organization with a ‘compound’ should have some sort of landscaping done. Most of this landscaping tends to revolve around the establishment of lawns. Subsequently, many organizations find themselves having to put up with considerable lawn care costs. In this discussion, we will be trying to understand how various organizations make provisions for costs. In other words, we will be trying to find answers to the question as to ‘what budget allocations’ the various organizations get the money for lawn service from.
As it turns out, there are some organizations which have specific votes for costs, whereas there are others that treat lawn service as just one of the ‘miscellaneous costs.’
Where specific allocations for lawn service are made, you will tend to find them as a subheading under housekeeping costs or such other things. Depending on the nature of organization you are looking at, these may be under the general area of administrative costs or marketing or even operational costs. For some reason which is hard to fathom, most organizations do seem ...
... to prefer having the housekeeping sub-department being a part of the administration department. But as we said, for certain organizations which may be keen on investing heavily in their lawn care, a decision can be made to have the costs as part of the marketing budget. The reasoning here is that the impressively cared for lawns are likely to have the effect of making the organization look better to its clients; that the whole lawn care work is in fact aimed at impressing clients. Therefore, so goes this line of reasoning, the costs would be best borne by the marketing department. Having borne the costs, it is usually also tasked upon the marketing department to ensure that the lawn care is done properly, so that the resultant lawns are the sorts that can truly impress clients - possibly leading to ‘deals’ for the organization.
How an organization opts to make provisions for its lawn service costs depends on a number of factors. First of all, it depends on the size and type of lawns an organization has (where, naturally, the bigger lawns require bigger allocations). In this case, if all that an organization has, in the name of a lawn, is a yard or so grass patch, the best idea may be to treat the costs as miscellaneous costs. On the other hand, if an organization has acres upon acres of lawn areas, huge amounts of money may need to be devoted to lawn service. In such instances, it is often considered better to have specific allocations for lawn service.
Another factor that may have some impact on how an organization opts to make provisions for costs is the question as to what exactly lawn service means for the organization. There are some organizations which, thanks to the nature of their businesses, find lawn care to be a big deal, just as there are some to whom lawn care is no big deal. The former will, naturally, tend to be inclined towards making specific lawn care allocations, whereas the latter will tend to be content to treat costs as ‘miscellaneous costs.’
