The Serial Killer Jack The Ripper

Jack the ripper is arguably one of the most famous serial killers in the world. To this very day we still don't know who he is or how many women were killed by him. He did his terrible crimes between 1888 and 1891 around the East End of London. His name came about when a believed to be hoax letter was posted to the central news agency, signed Jack the Ripper. The newspapers then used this name when writing about him. It was gripping stuff at the time and frightening for the people living in the areas.

Sadly most of his victims were female prostitutes from the poor parts of London. He cut all their throats and some of the women had internal organs missing. He possible cut out the organs as a kind of sick trophy! Police assumed he could be a doctor or have some form of surgical background because he was precise in his organ removal.

At the time the police didn't have forensic evidence or finger printing which meant the only way they could commit someone of murder was to actually catch them in the act. This was pretty much impossible and the Ripper was never caught. Many police detectives were given ...

Because he has never been found and because of the many mysteries surrounding this serial killer he has remained popular. Many works have surfaced including books and movies written about the Ripper.
