Santorini is an island located two hundred kilometer from the city of Greece. It has an area of twenty eight square miles approximately. It is a volcanic island and was created by a volcanic eruption. It has a population of around thirty five to forty thousand people living there.

The island is famous for the pleasant view, outstanding view of sunsets from the town Oia, unnatural beauty of the white eggplant. The most unique feature you get to see is the different types of beach like Kamari the black pebble beach, red and white beaches.

The island is known for its exceptional climate and its ashy volcanic soil. Santorini is there for known for their tomatoes. They are called cherry tomatoes which are unique in flavor, sweet and are extremely red in color. There are other unique vegetables grown in this volcanic island.

The fava which is a puree made from the legume is famous and the world's best. The white eggplants are very sweet to taste with very little seeds and can be consumed raw. A one of its kind cucumber is grown locally which is picked when yellow looks and taste exactly like a watermelon.

One of the famous industries of the island is its wine industry. It is very difficult to grow grapes in the island due to the hot and dry weather condition which are not suitable for this industry.

The Vinsanto is a world famous sweet red wine with the color of dark amber-orange and aromas of coated overtones of raisins, nuts, figs, honey etc. In comparison to the red wine the white wine is dry and strong in taste with the aromas of minerals, citrus scent and iodide salts.
