Driver looking to remove citation from record †Upon completion of the 6 hour Defensive Driving course you will be afforded the opportunity to have the offending traffic citation removed from your record. Please check with the court that issued the citation to be granted permission to take the Defensive Driving course. Note that if you have taken a course similar to this in the last 12 months you may be ineligible to take this course. Check with the courts for further confirmation as there have been instances where exceptions have been assigned.
Course Details †Defensive Driving is a 6 hour course that includes video, graphs, games, and audio read-along features as a means to assist in the learning process. You are offered a time frame of 180 days to complete the 6 hour course. Within these 180 days you may feel free to log in to the system as often as you would like for as long as you would like until the course is complete. There will be quizzes based on the videos issued throughout the course. A final exam will be administered at the end of the 6 hours course consisting of 20 multiple choice questions. A passing score of 70% or higher will be required to receive a certificate of completion. If you are unsuccessful in passing the final exam on your first try, worry not; you have 2 additional opportunities to pass the exam. We’re confident that you’ll do just fine on the final as long as you pay attention throughout the course.
