Asbestosis is recognized as an industrial, occupational disease. It is becoming wide spread because of the increase of its incidence in industries. People who work in automobile industries, building industries, shipping industries, textile, mining and milling industries are highly vulnerable to contact asbestosis. It is a lethal lung disease that occurs because of inhalation and swallowing of asbestos fibers. Having a long latency period this deadly disease causes great pain and suffering to the victim and the family members concerned. Asbestos fibers implant themselves in the lungs and cause inflammation which leads to fibrosis.

Asbestosis manifests in many forms and since asbestos breathing is the main cause the claims can be made for any form of the related diseases that are caused by asbestos intake. You can claim for compensation if you are diagnosed for any one of these diseases, Asbestosis, Mesothelioma cancer, Plural thickening and asbestos lung cancer.

Remember that the claim must be filed for compensation for asbestos related diseases within three years of the date of the preliminary diagnosis pointing ...
... to the asbestos related disease. In case the claims have to be made for someone who passed away due to this disease, even in that case the time limitation of three years from initial diagnosis holds good. Note that right now there is no provision to claim for pleural plaques in England and Wales, but there is a possibility that it can change in future. There are firms offering the services for claims and they will help you to get 100% of the compensation offered. They have the arrangements to recover their costs form the companies responsible.

As you know that asbestosis takes really a long period to be apparent after the contamination, even to the extent of 20 years, many of the companies in whose work place the victim might have contracted the disease, some service providers will get the claims for the victims from the insuring companies that had covered the companies though the companies no more exist. If you worked in different companies and are unsure where you got the disease there is a provision to get the compensation from the government.

Such service providers help the victims by reducing the suffering caused by asbestos related diseases by at least reducing the financial burdens.
