Most do-it-yourself car advice would strongly recommend that you your car with a Urethane Auto paint. This is very important since it allows you to save money by painting the car on your own instead of hiring a professional painter and pay for the services. Car repaint can actually be accomplished using easily by using the following steps:

Step Number 1: Wash the car thoroughly

Wash the car thoroughly with clean water and by using a commercial detergent. Remove all of the suspended dusts and visible stains from the car's exterior. Rinse the car well and allow it to dry completely for a few hours. Park the car in a closed area to prevent dusts from sticking again on the car's exterior.

Step Number 2: Apply degreasing solution

As soon as the car has dried completely, put on a pair of rubber gloves and apply a commercial degreasing solution or mineral spirits on the exterior of the car. You can do this by using a clean piece of cloth or towel. According to most car advice, doing this ...
... removes the greasy substances from the car's body paint. After completing the application, allow the car to dry for a few hours.

Step Number 3: Dull the previous paint layer

Sand the car's exterior completely using a 1500-grit sand paper. Just press the sandpaper lightly into the car's paint. The pressure should just be enough to dull the car's paint layer. Make sure to sand the car's paint evenly to avoid making uneven scratches. After doing this, wash the car again and allow it to dry thoroughly.

Step Number 4: Apply the Urethane Paint Primer

Move the car into a paint booth or in an enclosed but ventilated area. Cover the areas of the car that are not involved in the painting procedure such as the windshield, the headlights and tail lights. You can cover this by using a plastic sheet and a painter's masking tape. Wear a rubber apron and a mask before starting the repainting process.
Turn on the respirator and spray a thin coat of Urethane Paint Primer into the car. Make sure the respirator's nozzle is only a foot away from the car. Do this in a steady mist. Move the sprayer in a steady back and forth motion to create an even coating. Allow the primer to dry for at least an hour.

Step Number 5: Apply the Urethane Auto Paint

As soon as the primer has completely dried, start spraying the Urethane auto paint. Apply the paint in thin layers. After spraying each layer, allow the paint to dry for 15 minutes and spray the next layer again. Continue spraying the layers of the auto paint until the primer is totally covered. Allow the car to dry overnight before moving it outside the paint booth or the enclosed area.
