5 Most Advanced Car Safety Technologies

Advanced car safety technologies provide greater security and safety to the vehicle occupants in case of accident. These high-tech gadgets reduce the damages of the vehicle as well as the injuries incurred by its occupants. Besides this, there are other safety gadgets that help in preventing accidents. You can easily learn about these gadgets by reading useful car advice online. However, if you don't have the time to conduct a research regarding these tools, you can read on this article and identify some the most popular car safety gadgets that are available.
1. Tire pressure monitoring
Most car advice would mention the tire pressure monitor as one of the most advanced car safety gadgets. This safety gadget allows the driver to monitor the tire pressure of the car while driving. This technology uses sensors attached on the car's wheels. The sensors transmit a warning sound to the driver when one of the tires is under pressure. There are also other warning signals such as a light warning device installed ...
... on the car's instrument panel.
2. Lane departure warning devices
The lane departure warning device is one of the most effective safety gadget installed on modern cars. This device alerts the driver when the car begins to deviate from its lane due to distractions. The alarm is in the form of vibrations on the car's driver seat, an audible sound, or a warning light on the vehicle's instrument panel. In addition to this, the device estimates the speed and distance of approaching vehicles that might pose a danger whenever you change lane.
3. Adaptive cruise control sensors
This device goes beyond maintaining the car in constant speed. Its sensors allows automatic controls on the car's throttle and brakes to maintain distance from the vehicles in front during a sudden change in the road's traffic condition.
The sensors are also able to sense possible collision. When a collision is eminent, the sensors automatically allow the car to brake hard and tighten the seatbelts. When the lane is clear, the sensors automatically shift the car to its normal cruising speed without a single input from the driver.
4. Emergency brake assist
The emergency brake assist is different from the anti-lock braking system. This device recognizes panic on the part of the driver due to its quick shift from stepping the gas pedal to the brake pedal. The emergency brake assist applies additional brake pressure to shorten the car's stopping distance.
5. Blind-spot detection
This device alerts the driver of the presence of cars and other objects on blind spots when driving or parking. The device uses a short-range detection system that warns the driver through a glowing light on the car's mirror or sounds an alarm. The blind spot detection activates when the driver turns the turning signals on.
