Cold sores are generally caused by Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1) and Herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV2). It is common in more than 80% of the American population and it is not necessary for every victim affected by virus to exhibit symptoms. Next powerful home remedy to treat cold sore is garlic, but sometimes raw garlic can burn your blister and make it worse. Garlic can also be eaten as a food but it can cause a strong odor.
