The United States of America is one of the few countries where quite a large number of people from virtually all countries of the world would like to live in. A person who has won their right to live in the USA after applying for a green card through the Diversity Immigrant Lottery Program can also bring their spouse to live with them, together with any children under the age of 21. Although there are no age limits imposed for those interested in applying for a green card, the strict requirements related to education or work experience generally lead to the exclusion of applicants under the age of 18. In order to show support for married couples who want to live in the USA, this program allows spouses to be applying for a green card individually thus doubling their chances. Those who are given the right to live in the USA through this program receive all the rights dictated by the laws that are in effect in the United States of America except for the right to vote, which is only available to American citizens.
