Make The Most Of Your Sky

Sky Services, available with any Sky package subscription offer some of the unique selling points for the digital TV provider. These services make Sky stand out in a market filled with competitors and may very well be the tilting factor.
Sky Services includes everything from mobile services to equipment protection, customer friendly programme selection to playing missed programmes, subtitles to magazines.
First on this list is Sky Active which allows the user the ability to control their Sky account from the television screen itself. Checking and notifications can be handled from the regular TV set without being hassled by paper work which would eventually get lost.
Sky Protect offers the users the option to insure their Sky equipment in case of damage before the expiry of their contract. The service is a cover for any damage that the Sky equipment may have incurred. If unable to repair the damage, Sky will promptly replace the equipment. The service is recommended at £5.75 per month.

... Anytime, the relatively new service from Sky, allows users to select programmes from the large basket that Sky offers. The service is available on Sky HD box only.
With the advent of smartphones and its immense popularity, Sky decided to launch the Sky Mobile service. The on demand service allows Sky subscribers to access their Sky TV services using their mobile (subject to compaitibility) phones. The users can view videos, download music, watch Sky TV programmes and even place using the Sky platform. The service is available on select Sky packages.
Using a tape or a timer to record a programme has become passé. The new kid on the block is the Sky Player, which allows recording with the press of a single button without any other hassles. The programme will be recorded on the huge data storage that Sky provides in its bundles and packages. Non-subscribers of Sky TV can also take advantage of this service but with a set monthly subscription and reduced TV programmes selection.
The Accessibility service from Sky is by far the most helpful of all of Sky services. The service offers pointers like subtitles for the hearing disabled, signed language descriptions and audio described listings. It is even accompanied by a special remote control which has been designed specifically to be user friendly to senior citizens and the disabled.
For the ones who swear by and prefer to read programmes like the old TV Guide books, Sky Magazine, offers programme listings, celebrity news and interviews for the uninitiated. The magazine is offered for free every month to all Sky subscribers.
