Firebird was first marketed as far back as in 1967 which makes it a classic car. In the 1970s it was known as a glamor car. Made by Pontiac it was available both in coupe and convertible versions. With five different types of engines and a number of options on offer, their different permutations and combinations created innumerable versions for the customers. Each of these versions had no resemblance to the others in their details. A Trans Am model introduced in 1969 with more power, superior handling, and smarter handling acquired an iconic status. Its second generation introduced in 1970 had some changes in its design and it lasted till 1981. One of the versions called Espirit had luxurious features. The third generation introduced in 1982 saw a number of modifications including a new suspension. The fourth generation launched in 1993 had better aerodynamics and some new features. Like all good things it came to a stop in 2002.
