Most drugs that treat alzheimer's disease attempt to provide relief, but there is no permanent cure as of yet. But certain drugs, medication as well as proper treatments can prevent these mental disorders. This disease can affect the higher cortical function of the brain including memory, thinking, and orientation. Alzheimer's disease prevention is the best way to reduce symptoms of affected illness, but proper care should be taken with considerable observation because patients require emotional support. Natural treatments are also found to be beneficial such as exercise, yoga and meditation that provide relaxation to the body. Taking part in support groups, staying mentally engaged through sports activity or playing puzzle games can also help alleviate the symptoms and benefit overall health too. A holistic approach of a combination of drugs with occupational therapy along with physical treatment can play an important role in regaining confidence and performance of normal activities for alzheimer's patients.
