Even though Kia Motors, a Korean automobile manufacturer founded in 1944, currently sells over 1.5 million vehicles every year, owning thirteen manufacturing and assembly plants in eight countries around the world, complaints arise on a regular basis about the inferior quality of their vehicles, especially the engines. Probably due to their comparatively low price tags, Kias are some of the best selling cars in the United States, currently ranking as the eighth bestselling car in the country. Unfortunately, as many consumers have found, impressive sales figures do not necessarily mean good quality in a car.

One of the most common complaints about Kia engines, specifically the Kia Rio engine, is its frequent problems with starting, and its tendency to stall. Some drivers have tried to fix this problem by replacing the spark plugs or wiring frequently, or by having a mechanic check the fuel filter, fuel pump, or pressure regulator of the Kia Rio engine. Although these measures sometimes fix the problem the Kia Rio engine has with starting and stalling, more ...
... often than not in a short while drivers find themselves with the same problem again. Many believe this is simply due to the inferior materials the Kia Rio engine is made with in order to keep its price tag low. The Kia Rio engine has also been known to experience frequent cylinder misfires, possibly also resulting from spark plug issues or possibly due to a bad fuel injector.

Kia Sportages also have a tendency to stall, and this has been attributed in many cases to a faulty crankshaft position sensor. Some Sportages may also experience problems with their accelerator pedal sticking, and in rare cases this has been known to cause serious automobile accidents.

Many Kias also experience problems with their cooling fans. Due to the unsuitable material these fans are made with, many have been known to experience damage or even melt in high temperatures and must then be replaced. Kia engines have also been criticized for their power deficiency and the disproportionate amounts of noise they produce.

The Honda, on the other hand, is a top quality vehicle. The quality of the Honda Civic engine has consistently caused the car to place highly in Car of the Year rankings around the world. According to www.consumerreports.org, the Honda Accord was revealed to be the best car all around regardless of the age of the consumer. Receiving excellent ratings in safety, reliability, visibility, and control, the Honda Accord was rated by consumers as their top pick across the board for drivers from teenagers up to seniors.

Both the Honda Accord engine and the Honda Civic engine have consistently won awards for their quality and performance. The F22B1 Honda Accord engine won a place on the Ward's 10 Best Engines List in both 1995, when it was first introduced, and 1996.
The Honda Accord engine and the Honda Civic engine are both made to last, using an array of top quality materials for all parts of the engine from the engine block itself down to the tiniest sensors. Both the Honda Accord engine and the Honda Civic engine come with the best in design including features like variable valve timing to improve efficiency.

About: Overall, both the Honda Accord Engine and the Honda Civic engine experience much fewer problems than Kia engines. They have consistently been rated higher by both consumers and experts and are known to not only provide quality performance, but to last.
