I'm obsessed with Jamelia's song "Superstar". That's a fact. I've been singing it for the last couple of weeks every single day. For how many times in a day, well I lost count already. My friends keep on asking me what's with the song anyway aside from being so groovy and danceable. Well to tell everyone the truth, it really makes me feel like a "SuPeRsTaR".

What really makes a person be a superstar? Do they have to be so famous like celebrities? Do they have to exhibit special talents to be one? Do they have to own a mansion in an exclusive village? Or do they have to possess bank accounts bigger than the law should allow (sounds familiar Sisqo)?

Nah, I don't think so. Everyone's unique so everybody's a superstar. You don't need a billboard along EDSA to let people know that you has a great public appeal. You don't need a multi-million pesos worth of commercial to let others see the real you (as if advertisements means reality). You don't need a big fat account to be superior to others. You don't need material things to be one.

I am a self-proclaimed superstar because I am a superhuman. ...
... Superhuman who knows how to have fun and be responsible for all my actions. A superstar who make mistakes and stands to all the fights in life. I am a superfriend who's role varies from being a mother to being a shopping slave. I am a superlover who appreciate him and cherish every moment we make. I am a superstar in my own right.

You can also be one. Think and feel like a superstar and everyone will see how special you are. Like what Jamelia said, " I don't know what it is that makes me feel like this. I don't know who you are but you must be some kind'a superstar. Coz you've got all eyes on you no matter where you are."

Turn around. Somebody's looking at you, superstar.
