1990s was a period which saw tough competition amongst sport coupe manufacturers. Each manufacturer tried to outdo others by introducing some innovation. Japanese automobile manufacturers also joined the game making it all the more competitive. Nissan came up with 240SX in 1989 which was marketed as a coupe as well as a hatchback. Its specialty was that it had a rear-wheel drive when all the other sport coupes were front-wheel driven. This innovation improved its performance capability. It was admired for its better handling and a new type of suspension and was also comfortable. The manufacturers offered a number of options like power windows and locks, cruise control, glass sunroof etc. In 1992 hatchback was dropped and a convertible introduced. In 1993 coupe version was also dropped. In 1997 its front was redesigned and its interior was upgraded. The car was manufactured till 1998.

Most of the people strive to have and retain their own distinct identity. They want their cars also to have a unique look and stand out among other cars. Since most of the cars of the same make or model look more or less alike they try to ...
... impart their individual touch by installing aftermarket products of their choice. Aftermarket body kits are usually used for this purpose as they are fitted externally and are very visible. 240SX body kits too make a significant and unique impression on the onlookers. They are marketed in a number of designs and styles. One has to be careful in selecting them as besides their cosmetic value they also have some uses. For example a spoiler, one of the items comprising body kits improves aerodynamics and traction of the vehicle. Other items included in body kits are front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and side guards.

Body kits are made of either polyurethane, or fiberglass, or carbon fiber. You can know their merits and demerits on several web sites which give relevant information about body kits. There you can also see how 240SX body kits will look when fitted on your vehicle. Lastly you will have to ensure that they are correctly fitted.
