Nobody is stranger to the fact that there are some basic human rights that are applicable to all and should not be discriminated against. One such right is that of education. Everyone has the right to educate themselves so that they can come out of the shackles of ignorance and build a better future for themselves. However, in reality, it does not happen so. There are a large number of people who remain deprived of the fruits of education because of which they are never able to rise above poverty and suffering. It is here that Barakat strives to make a difference.
Barakat is concerned with providing education to underprivileged people of India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. This is extremely helpful since education is the only way in which a nation can hope to progress provided it is available to all and not a select few. The main intention of Barakat is to spread the seeds of education to the whole of Central and South Asia. Barakat has been working towards their goal for quite some time now and has somewhat managed to realize their goal. It is true that there are still some sections of people who are yet to enjoy the right to education but they are gradually extending their hands to them as well so that no one is left behind in this endeavor. It is not an easy task considering they deal with citizens of not one but three countries, namely, Pakistan, India and Afghanistan. However, they have taken everything in their stride and battled all odds to achieve their purpose and the future looks bright for them.
