Plush Toys Never Seem To Lose Their Appeal

Babies love the softness of a plush toy. Even before they know what it represents they love the feel of the soft material. Some people believe that the color or shape of the toys makes a difference, but babies react well to almost any plush toy they come in contact with.

As toddlers they may find comfort in the softness of older toys, or they may fall in love with a specific color of toy. Often they become attached to a toy that their parents feel they should have outgrown. It can often be difficult to get a toddler to give up a plush toy that they have had for a while. Sometimes they do find new toys that they like better as their ability to distinguish colors and shapes becomes more acute. However, when it comes to bedtime they will almost always go for a plush toy to take to bed with them.

As children grow older and begin to verbalize more they will often speak for their plush friends. In some cases they carry on long conversations.
