Cortisol Cardiac Test - An Effective Way To Detect The Risk Of Cardiac Arrest
Human beings are often attacked by deadlier diseases. Cardiac arrest is one of those diseases that pose great health hazards to humans. Scientists all over the globe are neck deep into the research work to invent some effective techniques that will reduce the possibility of the occurrence of heart disease. Their continuous effort has turned out to be fruitful. Cortisol cardiac test is an important test that can efficiently predict if an individual is prone to heart disease or not.
Cortisol cardiac test is also referred to as cortisol hair test. Cortisol is actually a hormone. The volume of its secretion is closely associated with the stress level in human being. Research has shown that the measurement of the stress hormone in the hair can forecast if a person has at all any chance of getting afflicted with heart disease. It is a well-known fact that the extreme tension is responsible for causing cardiac problems. Before the invention of cortisol cardiac test, both blood test and urine test were conducted to find out the stress level of a person. As the release of cortisol is due to stress in human, therefore, these two tests could predict the possibility whether an individual would experience heart problem in future. With these two traditional modes of testing, the doctors were capable of detecting the high degree of risk only in times of screening. The advanced research on this subject revealed that the individuals who are more likely to be prone to heart attack have a higher level of cortisol secretion. This finding led to the invention and wide use of cortisol cardiac test in order to get accurate results regarding the risk of cardiac arrest in an individual.
The stress-induced cortisol secretion can be measured in various methods. In fact, apart from hair, blood, saliva and urine are also used as samples to measure the level of secretion of cortisol. But hair cortisol cardiac test has become the most preferred and standard mode of testing the cortisol level. The reason is the other mediums can not effectively detect the stress level beyond a certain temporary period whereas the hair cortisol cardiac test can indicate the stress level for more than six months. Hair is not only used to assess one's stress level but it is also utilized to find out if a person is addicted to drugs or not. Hair drug testing is the most trusted and efficient way of detecting the case of drug abuse in an accurate fashion.
Prior to using hair drug testing, urine test and saliva test were extensively used to trace the illegal drugs. But these two tests can only detect the use of drugs for a brief period of time. On the other hand, hair drug testing can effectively exhume a drug history of 90 days. The sample collection is easy and there is hardly any way to resort to cheating. That is why hair drug test is reliable and is extensively used to find out if the teens or even the grown-up employees have any record of drug abuse.
