Canterbury was founded over a century ago, in 1904, in the area of Canterbury in New Zealand; hence the name of the company, where it manufactured knitwear. It is sometimes known as CCC by the rugby community such as the retailers and the rugby fans. The brand is also well known for their rugby protective gear and rugby boots.
