There are various high school fundraising ideas that you can utilize, the kind of which depends on the project where the fund would be used. Funds that need to be accumulated fast can be raised from selling items that can be disposed easily such as snack packs, chocolates, popcorn, and candies. A certain mark-up can be put on the items or a percentage asked from the donor for the profit. A scratch-n-give can also be offered, in which a person agrees to give a donation according to the amount exposed on a scratch card.

If you want to ensure success or are targeting a huge amount though, you can make use of other high school fundraising ideas such as the following:

Baked Potato Dinner

Most people would think of pancakes or spaghetti; but for a change, you can offer baked potatoes instead, complete with all the garnishing. Potatoes are quite cheap and you can bake them in bulk, thereby saving on your expenses. Various garnishes can be used such as bits of bacon, cheese, butter, or sour cheese. What is good about it is that you can also buy these items in bulk, so you can keep your operating costs down. Find ...
... something in the school that can be used as a venue such as the hall or school canteen. You can sell tickets ahead of the event or on the day itself at the door of the venue.

Yard Sale

This one will require all the members of the group to bring whatever item they can give that are still usable and can be sold. These would include clothing, kitchen items, sports equipment, toys, and other similar items. Announce the event by going around the neighborhood and posting signs. You can also inform everyone you meet while doing so. An extra fundraising activity can be done by selling snack items in the morning and afternoon of the event.
Book Fundraiser

This one tends to be very profitable. If you can find an author that is willing to donate most of the proceeds to your cause, this is usually the ticket. Your organization benefits and you get to participate in a very unique fundraiser, rather than doing the run of the mill fundraiser like every one else. Bring this up next time someone is asking for high school fundraising ideas. Kids love getting involved. Usually the author will donate signed copies, help with your organization, and it will usually be a more personal experience.

So remember, at your next PTA fundraisers meeting, don't just bring up one idea. Ask your group to bring up as many high school fundraising ideas so that you can have a multiple of ideas. You never know who is going to bring up a great idea.
