A braiding fishing line is one of the first brands of fishing lines that is still in frequent use up to this time due to its extremely sturdiness. This brand of fishing line is made from combining different man-made materials formed with each other. Initially braid lines were created from natural materials until recent times when the makers started to merge the man-made materials like Micro-dyneema, Spectra and Dacron. These fibers aids to produce a fishing line that has more benefits than that of the regular fishing line manufactured from monofilament components and is often referred to as a super line. This characteristic has caused it to become even more famous during the last couple of years and have developed several different superior brands to choose from like spiderwire, powerpro and whiplash.

The strength of the braid fishing line allows it to be very good opposing agent to the abrasion that causes other fishing lines to go out of use quickly and snap so it lasts much longer than the regular fishing line. They also do not stretch as much as other lines, so they are much more sensitive and this allows a fisherman ...
... to sense the slightest nibbles from a fish. Most fishermen who use them have to use scissors to cut them instead of clippers. Braided lines can be effectively installed on any type of fishing reel and are more commonly known as great lines for bait casting reels, particular for trolling. If you use it make sure that your fishing rod can properly handle it.

Braided lines are created with a smaller diameter, so they are very bendy and don't contain any spool recall like that of monofilament lines that means the cord is not able to wind when it comes off the spool. Since they float so well, they are excellent lines for top water baits. They also contain very minimal stretch so that the fish lure can be easily dragged away from a fish.  But you must have a drag set so that a fish is not able to rip the hooks from its jaws if it attempts to makes a strong escape right at the boat. Braid fishing lines work particularly excellent for certain fishing events however, they still do contain some disadvantages that can sometimes be greater the benefits.

At times the toughness of braided lines can also turn into a disadvantage. A careless fisherman can cut his fingers on these line as if he grips the line too firmly when trying to break it free from being caught in a tree or rock. Furthermore braided lines are a lot more expensive than other brands of fishing lines because the manufacturing process are a lot more expensive than that of monofilament lines so this expense is given to the consumer and results in it being more costly than the other brands.

On average braided lines are more opaque in the water than other lines and is thus more noticeable to the fishes so more fishermen refuse to use it in plain waters because it is easier to see it may easily scare the fish, especially on finesse baits where you are attempting to entice a fish to bite a lure they can see for a long time. Fishers have however, discovered a solution for this by connecting a monofilament at the end of the braided fishing line to serve as a leader to minimize the increased perceptibility of the braided fishing line.
