Having just organised a netball tour to Bangkok in Thailand, I thought I'd share how to organize a fantastic netball tour in 8 easy steps:
Location, location, location!
Lots of consideration should go into the selection of your netball tour destination. Obviously budgets come into it, but foremost consider the age range and interests of your touring group.
Some netball tours are just about netball but many players will be keen to explore the local night clubs, shopping, key tourist sites and relaxation options, so research your destination!

Money talks but sponsors, fundraising or cashback get you further
Any team can afford a netball tour with the right amount of planning. First you'll need to decide an average amount which everyone in your tour group will be able to afford. It is best to ensure that the monies paid by tourists covers the basic cost of the netball tour, and any sponsorship and fundraising pays for 'extras' such as meals, excursions or tour shirts. You can also organise fundraising and you should check out cashback options on online purchases. Multiple sites offer this service; ...
... however only tourlegends offers a team cashback option where the cashback collected is pooled in a team kitty.

Organise the oppo
You've basically got two options here: either join an organised netball tournament or contact teams to organise your own matches. An excellent resource is the tourlegends netball tournament calendar which lists netball tournaments for 2010, 2011 and even 2012!
The same website also lists over 500 netball teams which you can contact directly via the site to request a match. In addition if you're planning to go abroad don't forget to research the local netball season as many clubs will find it difficult to pull together a team whilst they are playing in their netball league.

Crack the whip
Once you've got an outline of your netball tour, you'll need to get commitment from players to come on tour well before you've got to pay for travel, accommodation and netball tournament fees. Consider requesting a deposit that will allow you to sort out the initial bookings: sign up & pay up! You can take cash at netball training or allow for easy on-line payments directly into your bank account, PayPal account or you could use the tourlegends PayPal interface to keep track easily of who has paid.

Delegate
It's tempting to organise everything yourself because then you know it's been done the way you like it, however part of the fun of going on netball tour is being involved! So always assign silly tour roles but make sure they actually help you whilst on tour such as: tour treasurer (Ms Moneypenny), kit bitch, tour snapper (photographer), tour spa queen, tour shopaholic etc.

Fashion forward tour kit
Everyone looking fabulous in your netball tour kit will really enhance the tour mood and the group dynamics. It doesn't have to be complicated: black bottoms + a shirt printed with a silly slogan does the trick. Some ideas for slogans: three seconds to pass or shoot, hot netball chick alert - no dribbling allowed

Tell ‘em what you told them
The old saying tell'em what you're gonna tell ‘em, tell'em and then tell'em what you've told them: holds very true! REPEAT information till you're blue in the face otherwise you'll only end up with half your touring party at the appointed departure time In addition it is a good idea to post the tour information online so players can view it 24/7 - consider using an online invitation website, a Facebook group or a tourlegends tour profile.

Post-tour wrap-up
Share the memories and post photos online for the entire touring party and the rest of the club to enjoy. You may want to keep some of the ‘insider' photos separate though as what goes on tour stays on tour! On tourlegends there is a ‘banterbox' feature allowing private banter and photos just for the tourists. Celebrate your tour big time to lay the groundwork to support your next netball tour!
