Marriage is the noblest bond that can exist between a man and a lady. It is a relationship which is matched in heaven and made on Earth. This relation indeed is the strongest relation in the world. In simpler words "Marriage is a relationship between a man and a woman taking a vow that they live together till their death". With the number of divorces taking place, this definition is changing. Today marriages are not seen to last for very long and there are a vast variety of reasons behind their failing, however the weirdest thing of all is that, usually these reasons are so baseless and can be sorted out very easily. The reasons may be the fast paced modern and busy world which don't allow the couple to have time for themselves or it may be reasons like ego, inferiority complex or attitude problem and when you come to think of it these problems can be solved very easily with the marginal of efforts. In this article I list to you the very simple but extremely useful things which if you inculcate in your daily life may assist a lot in building up the relationship between you and your partner:

So it is best to avoid talking on issues which may anger the other and talking with a cool head.

2) Listen closely to each other: Talking with each other bridges the gap between the two. The best way to express feelings, thoughts and emotions is conversing well. Because "our dear ones are the only one who care about our future".

3) Cleanliness is another issue which should be paid attention to and good habits too do wonders.

4) Trust: Trust is an essential aspect for your relationship to last. Do not be over-possessive and always nagging, show confidence in your partner that you trust him/her and at the same time be honest about whatever you do and don't hide any of your emotion and convey everything to your partner and also never hide your past from your partner. Everyone has a past and you don't have to be embarrassed if you haven't had a good one.

5) Respect your partner: Respect his/her views, thoughts, feelings and give the other the space to fully express themselves without any fear and respect each other for what they are and how they are and praise each other too. It contributes greatly to keep a cheerful relationship going strong.

So if you follow these basic rules and always look for solutions to problems and fights rather than being egoistic then your marriage is bound to be successful for a long time.
