The ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 has been over, and the very first India Women have been crowned as champions. Under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur, the India Team finished 4th in the points table, but they defeated the lone undefeated team of the tournament, Australia, in the semi-finals and South Africa in the finals.

In this victory, India’s batters played significant roles. Especially openers Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal, who amassed 434 runs and 308 runs, respectively, in the tournament. While Jemimah Rodrigues and Shefali Varma played an important role in the semi-finals and finals triumph. But, as they say in cricket, batsmen can win you matches, but it takes bowlers to win you tournaments. The same thing happened in this World Cup for India.

Deepti Sharma, Shree Charni played a significant role with the ball. They struck almost every match and played a crucial role in the World Cup victory. Deepti took 22 wickets while Charni got 14 wickets. Apart from India, other teams' bowlers made valuable contributions to their respective teams. In this article, we are going to learn about the top 5 bowlers ...
... of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.

1. Deepti Sharma

India’s Deepti Sharma became the leading wicket-taker of the tournament, with 22 wickets. For this great performance, she received the player of the tournament award. She also took a fifer against South Africa in the finals. Apart from bowling, she also contributed with the bat, where she scored 215 runs, including 2 half-centuries. She made an impressive impact throughout the Women’s World Cup 2025 tournament, in every department. Fans will remember her contribution for a long while and also tell the story to the upcoming generations.

2. Anabel Sutherland

Australia’s Anabel Sutherland is second in the list with 17 wickets. She also took a five-wicket haul against the newly crowned world champions, “India”, in the round-robin stage. With her contribution, Australia easily reached the semi-finals without losing a single match. However, in the semis, against Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur, the Australian bowling attack, including Sutherland, failed to perform well and was eliminated from the tournament.

3. Sophie Ecclestone

England’s Sophie Ecclestone, once again, showed why she is known as the world’s No. 1 ODI bowler. She took 16 wickets throughout the tournament, with 2 four-wicket hauls. Thanks to her contribution, England finished second in the points table after the round-robin stage conclusion. England faced only a single defeat against Australia in the round-robin stage. However, England suffered from the shocking loss against South Africa in the semi-finals, which caused them to be eliminated from the tournament.
