Grains in the bat:
It is important to see the number of grains on your bat. If there are more grains on your bat, then it is evident that it is made out of old wood and is sensitive to external factors. A maximum of four to five grains is considered fine. If you are planning to purchase a cricket bat, check for its grains, do not buy them if they are very grainy.
