How many of you already experienced the long wait when you need your doctor's advice, prescription or attention. When you call his office, how long do you wait for him to answer? How many hours did you already spend in the waiting room of your physician's clinic? When you need medical attention, you should get it immediately. However, this is not often the case.

Almost all people in the USA experience these situations. This is not very flattering in the case of the medical profession as well as the health care system. Doctors do not want their patients to wait too long but they really do not have much choice. Doctors need numerous patients a day in order to be financially stable.

Doctor Howard Moran introduced a new process in 1996 wherein doctors and patients alike can now enjoy lower volume of clients without sacrificing the financial stability of the doctors. Doctors would receive a retainer's fee, the same fee given to accountants and lawyers in addition to their regular fee. This way, they do not have to stuff their schedule with loads of patients just to make ends meet. Patients will then have the chance ...
... to receive faster attention and better service.

As of the present time, this type of service known as concierge medicine is not yet covered by most insurance companies. If patients long for faster doctor's appointment, they have to shoulder the extra expense. The extra expense will be added to the comfort and the quality of service given to the patients.

Concierge medicine has a lot of advantages. You can have your appointments scheduled on the following day or even on the same day you called it. No more long waits just to get your prescription refills and you can even have direct access to your physician.

The number of physicians that delve into concierge medicine is now increasing in the country. You can find a list of doctors online to make your search a lot easier. The average retainer's fee is from $1,500 up to $3,000 a year. This is money well spent knowing you have now access to personalize treatment, faster and high quality health service.
